Maintenance ahead for the Switch Online
As a preparation for the release of the Nintendo’s online service, the Nintendo Switch eShop will undergo a scheduled maintenance on September 18 at 5 PM PST. The eShop will be inaccessible for three hours to give way for the Nintendo Switch system update version 6.0.0.
According to the Nintendo support website, online memberships will be available once the update is finished.
After the maintenance is complete, Nintendo Switch Online memberships will be available for purchase. Nintendo Switch owners won’t automatically become members when the service starts, so they will need to purchase an Individual or Family Membership in order to avoid disruption of their online play in compatible games.”
