Patch 7.19 will be the last patch before TI8, and it has brought some balance back to meta
Patch 7.19 has arrived, which is the final patch before TI. This patch is mostly focused on balancing heroes, and boy did it balance them. A lot of them have been hit hard by IceForg’s nerf hammer. Mist Coil manacost reduced from 50/60/70/80 to 50
This is a good buff to Abaddon. 50 mana for 200 heal/damage is quite a good value, and it can make support Abaddon quite viable.
Level 25 Talent reduced from +20% Max Thirst and Damage to +18%
Thirst bonus rescaled from 16/24/32/40 to 7/18/29/40
The level 25 talent nerf will impact Bloodseeker’s late game, but not by a lot. But the thirst rescale, will affect his laning presence a lot. Bloodseeker’s early game will be affected by the change, but his mid game will remain the same, as Thirst is usually maxed out first.
Crystal Nova manacost increased from 100/120/140/160 to 130/140/150/160
CM became one of the strongest laning supports due to the strong AOE damage of crystal Nova. For 100 mana, you could deal a total of 260 damage to two heroes during the laning phase. The increase in manacost will affect that, but CM will still be a strong support.
Blade Fury damage increased from 80/105/130/150 to 90/115/140/160
This buff is a strong increase to laning phase for Juggernaut. The Blade Fury damage is per second, which goes on for 5 seconds. That is an increase 50 damage, which is quite a lot for the laning phase.
Reaper’s Scythe Scepter cooldown increased from 55/40/25 to 60/50/40
Ghost Shroud self magic resistance reduction increased from 30% to 40%
Necrophos has been hit the hardest this patch. The nerf to Ghost Shroud will cause him to be extremely vulnerable while it is activated. Also, the Scepter cooldown increase at level 18 is almost a 75% increase. Earlier, it was ridiculous, but now its is pretty balanced. Even with these nerfs, he is still a viable pick.
Sanity’s Eclipse damage multiplier increased from 8/9/10 to 9/10/11
Essence Aura mana bonus increased from 125/200/275/350 to 150/250/350/450
This is a strong buff the Outworld Devourer. In long drawn out fights, Sanity’s Eclipse will do immense damage. Essence Aura buff will make OD’s laning presence strong. This buff might make him a viable pick again ater the nerf to his Arcane Orb.
Meat Hook cooldown increased from 17/15/13/11 to 27/22/17/12
Hard nerf to his early game. The recent pro picks saw the heroes flesh heap and rot being maxed, which made him immensely tanky in the early game itself. But this nerf will change his skill build, as the pros might prefer to level up Meat Hook first.
