The report indicates that Fortnite has been seeing growth on consoles. This is the first time the game has crossed the $300 million mark.
Fortnite has crossed yet another milestone. A recent report by SuperData suggests that Fortnite may have crossed the $300 million mark in terms of revenue earned just last month. The report estimates that Fortnite made $318 million across all the platforms for the month of May.
According to the same research, Fortnite has seen a growth of 7% in comparison to revenue earned last April, with the majority of this growth coming from consoles. As shown in the report, Fortnite is the top grossing game on consoles, followed by FIFA 18 and Call of Duty: WWII. It also noted that Fortnite’s revenue had fallen flat on mobile and PC, as compared to April.
It is in contrast to the report which mentioned that Fortnite mobile had earned $100 million in just 90 days, making it one of the fastest earning mobile game, behind only to Clash Royale.
Fortnite is also on fifth place of the top earners on PC, with the lead being taken by League of Legends. Meanwhile, Dota 2 has secured sixth place on the chart. Overall, the report says that Fortnite’s growth is slowing down. But it is still way ahead of PUBG on PC, and the game did not make it to top 10 earners on either console or mobile.
Detroit: Become Human and God of War were the only single player games that made it to the list. Further, the reports say that consumers spent about $9.1 billion across all platforms. The biggest growth driver was Mobile, where the sales were up by 36%. The report also cites Fortnite as one of the main reasons that Free to Play Console titles contributed to an increase of $200 million.
