The rumors for the past few months finally came true — new Pokémon games for Switch are here!
Nintendo dropped a big bomb earlier today with a video trailer of two of its newest Pokémon games for Switch.
The trailer showed and demonstrated how to play Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go Eevee!. These two titles will surely capture the hearts of RPG lovers, bringing in two of Pokémon’s cutest characters to the spotlight.
Nintendo claims that the gameplay of this new Pokémon RPG “is easily approachable for newcomers to the series, but is also deep enough to keep veteran Trainers on their toes.”
Trainers can now catch pocket monsters, side by side.
Using the ingenious joy-controllers of the Nintendo Switch, players can now play these Let’s Go games with another player.
With its multiplayer mode, players can control their very own trainer, side-by-side with their chosen pocket monster. Fight off monsters and catch Pokémon together, all in the spirit of teamwork!
Catch Pokémon with the help of the Pokéball Plus!
You’ve heard of the Pokémon GO Plus, now get ready for the Pokéball Plus, for exclusive use on these Pokémon games for the Switch. This accessory acts as a substitute to your joy-cons. By doing some throwing gestures, the Pokéball Plus will produce Poké balls in game. This is accompanied by lights and sounds coming in from the Pokéball Plus.
“With the Poké Ball Plus, you can also take one of your favorite Pokémon from these games for a stroll as you go about your daily life in the real world. The Poké Ball Plus even works as a Pokémon GO Plus when playing Pokémon GO.”
Will we be getting more Pokémon games for Switch?
Rumor has it that The Pokémon Company is cooking up a full core Pokémon game for the Nintendo Switch come 2019 next year. These Let’s Go games were designed for home console, while the upcoming Pokémon game on 2019 is meant to be experienced in handheld mode.
Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go Eevee are set for release November this year.
