In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the newest game of the classic franchise is coming out this month!
Introducing Harvest Moon Light of Hope! Actually, the game doesn’t really need that much introduction. For over 20 years, the literal ‘farming’ simulator has captured hearts of many. Kids, adults and even your local casual gamers. You get to simulate what it’s like to be a farmer. Furthermore, you get the chance to be in love with someone. Yup, we’re serious! You can ‘love’ inside the game. Becoming one of the most interactive games of our childhood for two decades.
This time, you’ll look at the fresh and new environment that the game brings. In the story, you basically set off on a voyage to another chapter of your life. Unfortunately, the tide was not on your side that faithful day; your ship hits the monsoon and causes it to go down. You then drift through the ocean into a nearby harbor, where a doctor named Jeanne saves your life. After that you wake up to a deserted and lonely town and it is up to you to rebuild and save it. You’ll use the properties of the town, livestock, crops, and materials to rebuild damaged structures. You’re literally the light of hope the town needs. They need your help to rebuild the Light Tower so get ready.
Back at it again with festivals and racing extravaganzas!
One thing we liked/loved about the latter games is the extracurricular activities. Fishing, swimming, Rabbit/Horse racing, the fun games that any farm town has. It’s one of the ‘Mini-games’ that makes actual game great. This time, the franchise introduces something new, a dog racing competition! You’ll also have the chance to grow and mutate crops now, and probably race with horses again. It’s another chance to play as a boy or a girl and start a family! Save the town and live a new life! Harvest Moon Light of Hope comes out May 29 for the Switch and PS4.
