Warmind is the part of the 3rd season of Destiny, as detailed in the game’s roadmap by Bungie.
Destiny 2’s second expansion, Warmind has been officially announced. Even though there is no trailer yet, Destiny’s community manager Deej has said that it is on its way. He tweeted that the trailer will be revealed on April 4, live.
In the blog where Bungie revealed Warmind, they also detailed their roadmap for season 3 and season 4.
Game Director Christopher Barrett said, “The team is very excited to extend the roadmap and share with you some of the big stakes we’re putting in the ground. Recent updates have focused on immediate issues to the live game, but in the coming months our vision for the future is converging with critical player feedback to deliver transformative changes to Destiny 2.”
Season 3 will be the part of update 1.2.0, and will release on May 8.This update will include the Warmind expansion pack. The season 3 update will also have features like Crucible rankings, private matches, increased vault space, Exotic Weapon masterworks, and more.
There is more good news. The Crucible Maps which were made for the Warmind expansion and all the Curse of Osiris maps will be available to everyone. But only the players who own the expansion will be able to play the maps in private matches. The non-owners will be able to access them outside of private matches.
And then, over the course of summer, Bungie will add features like Faction Rallies, bounties, PC clan chat and Exotic Armor sandbox changes.
Further, season 4 will have weapon randomization, which was available in Destiny but removed in Destiny 2. Many fans wanted this feature back, and Bungie obliged. It will also have gear collections, records, weapon slot changes and yet to be announced features.
