The protagonist of The Witcher series, Geralt, may be making a cameo in an upcoming game in 2018.
The Witcher series might have come to a conclusion, but the game still remains in the heart of any of those who’ve played it. Fans have been asking for a new Witcher game since. But while that might not be possible, we may get to see our beloved cow hide merchant in a new game.
The possibility was hinted at by CD Projekt RED community lead Marcin Momot on Twitter. He used the word upcoming, so it is possible that the game has already been announced.

Many fans believe that if the cameo does happen, the first possibility is SoulCalibur VI. Tha game is expected to launch later this year and this installment is the first one for PC.
Bandai Namco has a working relationship with CD Projekt Red; they distributed The Witcher 3 in Europe and The Witcher 3 in Australia. Earlier, Ubisoft had published SoulCalibur in the PAL territories and the series got Ezio Auditore da Firenze, everyone’s favorite assassin from the Assassin’s Creed series published by Ubisoft. Also, SoulCalibur has had a wide range of guest appearances of characters from games like Star Wars and The Legend of Zelda. So it wouldn’t be a surprise if we do end up seeing Geralt in the game.
Other suggestions have also been flying around. Some say it’s Final Fantasy XV, but it has already been released for the PC. Another suggestion, which would actually be great if that happens, is Monster Hunter: World. Even though the game has already been released, technically it is still upcoming since it has not been released on PC yet. And who can be better at killing monsters other than Geralt?
These are all just speculations for now. But do let us know in which upcoming game you would like to see Geralt.
