Looks like we will be visiting Thedas again. Dragon Age’s next installment has been confirmed by BioWare’s Executive Producer, Mark Darrah.
The Dragon Age series has been a massive success with the gamers. Barring the second game, which did not receive much acclaim, Origins and Inquisition did extremely well. And by the looks of it, it seems EA has a good grasp on the series. It has been known for quite some time that the next Dragon Age is officially in the works, but there was no solid confirmation.
Halfway through my trip to Barcelona!
I’m here showing Anthem internally to EA. I am EP of BOTH DA and Anthem working with @Bio_Warner as Game Director
Anthem’s up next but there are people hard at work on both franchises and I look forward to sharing more in the future

That has now been given by BioWare’s Executive Producer, Mark Darrah. He revealed so in a tweet. Darrah revealed that he was in Barcelona to reveal Anthem’s build internally to EA. He also revealed that Anthem is definitely going to be BioWare’s next game, but they are also working on Dragon Age.
It can be assumed that it will be quite a while before we jump into Ferelden. Anthem is scheduled to release in 2019, so Dragon age will be released after that. But we can expect to see a showcase at this summer’s E3.
Now there are not a lot of details revealed. But according to Pcgamesn, Alexis Kennedy, founder of Failbetter Games, has been involved in the game’s writing. “If you’ve seen a lot of my work before you will probably not be surprised by the choice of subject matter. It’s familiar stuff,” Kennedy told Eurogamer. The website also says that job listings for Dragon Age have been removed from BioWare’s website. This could mean that the game’s development is in the final stage. Also, the game will have a new Creative director. We know that Mike Laidlaw, the original Creative Director of Dragon Age games left BioWare in October 2017.
A lot of this is guesswork. We will keep you updated if more details are revealed, but I do not expect anything more to be announced before E3.
