The whole fighting game community is hyped — SFVAE has just arrived!
The long waiting time is finally over, as the Arcade Edition of classic fighting game Street Fighter V launches today, January 16, 2018.
SFVAE includes a huge update, feeling like an overhaul for the game. It has brand new characters, additional game modes, an improved user interface, and V-triggers you’ve never seen before.
Rise up, Arcade Edition style
Here’s a major shock for the players: the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition patch comes in 21 gigabytes worth of update. Yes, it is a pain but we’ve got all the reasons to encourage you to download (or buy) SFVAE.
For starters, the first season 3 character of the game will be available to play for free on the first week of the patch.
Pick Kasugano Sakura as your fighter, available from January 16 until January 23, 2018.
Those who will be purchasing the season 3 Character Pass will receive the following costumes for free:
30th anniversary costumes
- M. Bison
Buy a digital copy of the Arcade Edition and you will get the same costumes, also for free!
The SFVAE Season 3 character pass includes not-yet-released characters like Blanka, Falke, Cody, and G. If you decide to buy the pass, you will have all characters unlocked on the roster.
All fighters have also gained second V-triggers, literally becoming the game-changer. Ken now has his Shinryuken, a rising Shoryuken that can deal multiple hits. There’s also M. Bison’s Nightmare, where Psycho Power, Psycho Charge, and Psycho Judgment comes at play.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition costs $39.99 for both PC and the PlayStation. It comes as a free update for existing SFV players.
