The mobile game “World of Warships Blitz” will be released on January 18, 2018, for both iOS and Android with support for cross-platform play and switch between platforms.
Wargaming Mobile is set to release their mobile version of their free-to-play historical naval online game “World of Warships”. It will be brought to mobile with the help of KingNet.
The mobile version of World of Warships will feature 90 legendary warships from 4 countries – Japan, USSR, USA, and Germany. Thanks to the Blitz’ small nature, the mobile captains will be able to engage only in 7v7 battles. On their disposals, there will be 4 classes of ships available – destroyers, battle-cruisers, carriers and of course – battleships. According to Thaine Lyman, Head of Shooters at Wargaming Mobile, the ships will be easy to control and the battles will be short.
“As a mobile game, World of Warships Blitz is casual, easy to learn and super competitive, … Short battles, easy controls, and an impressive roster of ships are all right there from launch. We’re happy to welcome World of Warships Blitz into the Wargaming Mobile portfolio.” – Thaine Lyman
World of Warships Blitz will also support cross-platform play via the unified Wargaming.net ID, which will also allow players to switch platforms mid-game. The latter will happen without any in-game progress loss, which is great for the overall experience. The pre-register for the two mobile platform versions are already opened and the future World of Warships Blitz players will be able to get a special Aurora Premium Ship if they pre-register here.
