TNC Pro Team – CS:GO’s recent disqualification from GOTV.GG had gamers scrutinizing the “video evidence”.
We have all had matches with those annoying hackers. They use auto aiming or wall cheats and after winning unfairly, they comment “GG EZ noobs”. Recent news makes cheating seem like its not limited only to pub games. Reports are coming in that TNC Pro Team has been disqualified from GOTV.GG invitational #1. The Global Offensive Television has found “evidence” of the team cheating against their opponents, Vietnam’s 24BHB.
In the aftermath of the incident, TNC’s official Facebook page posted an announcement which read:
“Unfortunately, we’ve been ruled out of the GOTV.GG International. The organization accused us of cheating but TNC CSGO Pro Team will not tolerate such act since all our players have gone through rigorous training plus the fact that we are carrying the name of a reputable team/company in the gaming industry.
We still hope that the organization will hear our side so we can still continue with what we have started. This will not stop us from playing with our hearts out and we’ll use this very unfortunate event to strive harder next time.
Thank you for your usual support”.
They then posted the links to the video which the organizers have provided as evidence. They also posted the link to the whole coverage of the match by HLTV.
Apparently, according to some gamers, the team was using aimbots. The videos showed the crosshairs pointing at the heads of the opponent even though there was a wall. At the same time, an overwhelming number of gamers claimed that this is just natural aiming reaction, and pure skills.
We contacted the manager of TNC’s CS:GO team, Ryan “Babyboy” Crisostomo. He replied,
“That is a total mistake on their end. We will never cheat in any form. Their evidence is out of this world. I talked to the main organizer whose name is Zep. He is the only guy who banned our team, even though he invited us to his tournament. When we started to beat top Asian teams, he banned us with this lame reason. Even all our opponents know us and wondered why he did that. Maybe betting reasons? I personally do not know. I asked him about the anti cheats, and he said that they would put them in the semi finals. Told him we earned the spot and like you’ve said there is anti cheat already. Yet he refused and said his decision is final. This decision was made only by him. One and only guy. This tournament should be reported to Valve”.
If there is a shred of truth to BabyBoy’s statement, the matter should be investigated by Valve. Because being disqualified without proper investigations sure is shady.
We await further development in the matter. For now, GOTV has not replied to TNC. We will update as soon as we get new reports.
