The Steam Awards
Now an annual event by digital platform Steam, The Steam Awards gives out awards to various video games. Valve Corporation pools up a list of nominees, and Steam users get to vote for the game that deserves the titles.
This year, the voting system was held on a per-day basis. Users had to log in everyday and vote for each category. Awards changed everyday, and was only available for 24 hours. The polls ran from December 21 until January 2, along with the highly-anticipated Steam Winter Sale.
The Steam Awards is now on its second year, with a different set of award titles in contrast to its first year.
